    Unitech is an industrial handheld device manufacturer, now is turning into a solution provider. PA700 is the Company's first android enterprise PDA, a perfect demonstration to the change, also won this year's COMPUTEX TAIPEI d&i awards for innovation and design..

    “Automatic, Identification, Data, Collection (AIDC) are our core value,” said Steve Lin, ADC Product Marketing Division Director of Unitech. “Small-volume production of a wide range of different items is the way that we differentiated our product line from those consumer electronics, and we are 100 percent made in Taiwan (MIT).”

    Steve Lin pointed out that AIDC covers five fields, including warehousing and storage, manufacture, logistic, retail and wholesale, and healthcare. He clearly illustrated how Unitech's products can be applied in these fields. “By executing different software, the hardware functions differently.”

    Since 1979, Unitech has always been an expert in manufacturing hardwares, a so-called device provider. From last year, Unitech established a software division to transfer themselves into a solution provider. PA700, which is the Company's first android enterprise PDA.

    According to Unitech, PA700 brings a new level of compact size, functionality and durable construction to an enterprise PDA. Not only delivering a slim device with stylish look, but also equipped with industrial-grade functions to meet the needs in mobile workforce. PA700 is an ideal portable tool to streamline work process in retail and field service.

    PA700 refined elegance to AIDC technology, with a slim form factor at weight of less than 270g (with battery) and stylish smooth round edges, PA700 is portable and easy to take. In addition, a large 4.8-inch color TFT multi-touch display is a delight to watch and easy to operate by the two-finger gestures, it is available to be viewed even in direct sunlight, as well as a Gorilla Glass screen with 7H hardness to keep it scratch free.

    Packing a TI 1.5Ghz Dual Core Processor, DDR2 1GB SDRAM for system memory and 8GB NAND Flash for storage, PA700 also supports microSD expansion with an additional 32GB of storage capacity for data-intensive applications. Running on Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean operation system, PA700 provides superior fast and smooth operation as well as combining 1D barcode scanning, UHF/HF RFID and 5.0MP auto focus camera in one handheld device, delivering maximum efficiency to users.

    PA700 equipped with advanced Bluetooth v4.0, GPS, Wi-Fi and wireless LAN 802.11 b/g/n tri-mode radios, PA700 enables wireless connections to other devices including servers, mobile computers and printers for the real-time data collections.

    Engineered with superior materials, PA700 is built with the compliant with the MIL-STD-810F standards and IP65 certification, the rugged enterprise PDA survivals through the harsh environments with its waterproof and dustproof ability and it can operate in temperatures from -10ºC to 50ºC.

    “Before Q4, we are going to unveil a new version of PA700 that is made from antibacterial material, for a better use in healthcare.” Steve Lin added, where China and Japan are two major market of the Company.
