Challenge
September of 2021, the daily cases of Delta variant were rapidly increasing in Xiamen, China. To effectively mitigate the highly contagious virus, the Xiamen City Government deployed paramedics and health associations all over the city to set up PCR test stations, implementing a widespread screening test for COVID-19.

 

Solution

Citizens could make an online testing appointment through APP and undertake the PCR test at a designated time and location. All the people living in Xiamen were required to take the test, and the city government carried out this program by introducing a great amount of Unitech MS838 2D scanners. Scanning the registration code from citizens on screen and the test tubes had effectively improved the test efficiency and considerably reduced medical errors on data collection.
