What is Kiosk Mode?
Kiosk Mode is a feature for businesses that need to restrict access to certain functions on a device, and only allow users to interact with specific applications. This mode is commonly used in retail environments, where it can be used for self-service checkouts, product demonstrations, and customer surveys. It can also be used in education, healthcare, and hospitality industries to provide interactive kiosks or information stations.
Enabling Kiosk Mode on a device locks down the operating system and prevents users from accessing other software, settings, and files. This can help businesses protect their data and privacy, while also improving efficiency and reducing costs by automating certain tasks. Kiosk Mode can be customized to suit the needs of any business, allowing them to display their branding, logos, and messaging to customers. It is an effective tool for improving customer satisfaction, reducing wait times, and enhancing the overall brand image.
What is Launcher Mode?
Launcher Mode is a feature that enables IT admin users to select and display multiple apps on the screen. Enterprise workers can follow the usage restrictions to operate specific apps at work. This feature provides users with the flexibility to switch between apps easily, improving their overall efficiency.
The main difference between ELauncher 1.5 and 2.0 is that ELauncher 2.0 now supports advanced features such as App Pages, App Dock, and Glove Mode settings.
The App Pages feature allows multiple app lists that users can switch between, depending on their needs.
The App Dock feature located at the bottom of the screen, allows users to pin their most frequently used apps for instant access at any time.
The Glove Mode feature enables friendly operation and adjusts App sizes to suit users who wear gloves.
With Launcher Mode, businesses can streamline their workflows and enhance employee productivity. Employees can quickly access the apps they need to perform their tasks and switch between them easily to accomplish their objectives. The ability to pin frequently used apps saves time and eliminates the need for employees to search for them repeatedly. Its simple and clean design makes it ideal for industries such as retail, hospitality, and healthcare where employees use multiple apps to complete their work.
